Q: What does MageDx stands for?

A: MageDx can be broken down into 2 parts. Mage refers to the graphics engine that i have been coding all along while Dx actually stands for DirectX. In short, MageDx is equivalent to Mage graphics engine using DirectX.

Q: I have downloaded one of your demos, but i received one of the following errors when i run the application

1. This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
2. This applcation has failed to start because d3dx9_30.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

A: The demos that are found in this website was developed using Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 and the latest Directx SDK.

1. If you encounter error no.1, it means that you do not have required libraries to run the application. To solve the error, you can either download and install the vcredist_x86.exe here or download Microsoft.VC80.CRT.zip and then extract the contents to the folder of the demo.
2. Error no.2 can be solved by installing the latest directx runtime which can be found here.
